Destia's ownership to Ahlström Capital
Ahlström Capital agreed on 26 May 2014 to acquire Destia Ltd’s share capital from the State of Finland. The Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority has approved the deal, and the ownership of Destia Ltd has today, 1 July 2014, been transferred to Ahlström Capital.
Destia Ltd’s Extraordinary General Meeting of 1 July 2014 elected a new Board of Directors for the company. Panu Routila, President & CEO of Ahlström Capital Oy, was elected as a new Board member and Chair of the Board. In addition, Jacob af Forselles, Investment Director at Ahlström Capital Oy, and Lieutenant General Arto Räty, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Defence of Finland, were elected as new Board members. Matti Mantere and Solveig Törnroos-Huhtamäki will continue as Board members.
At its organizing meeting, the Board of Directors appointed Arto Räty as Vice Chairman.
Two Committees were appointed to support the work of the Board of Directors: a Nomination and Remuneration Committee and an Audit Committee.
Panu Routila was elected Chairman and Matti Mantere and Arto Räty as the members of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
Solveig Törnroos-Huhtamäki was elected Chair of the Audit Committee, with Jacob af Forselles and Arto Räty as members.
