The proper condition of the railway network is a basic prerequisite for rail safety and smooth traffic. Freight transport capacity requirements and the need for higher speeds in passenger traffic increase the need for railway line development and maintenance.
Railway work ranges from large-scale superstructure and bridge projects to the replacement of old culverts. Most substructure projects involve the renovation of old railway lines and the improvement of railway safety. Railway safety covers level crossings, for example, of which there are more than 4500 in Finland.
Destia provides railway work services throughout Finland. It has access to a broad range of equipment for the construction, repair and maintenance of railway lines, developed innovatively to address different types of customer needs. Multi-year service agreements are implemented on the principle of condition responsibility.
