The Road Weather Maintenance Centre is a globally unique concept, which has been under development since 1990.

The services of Destia Rail Ltd, a subsidiary of Destia's Rocks business group, cover construction of new railways as well as railway maintenance. For municipalities and cities

Destia has assertively improved its preparedness to provide added value and cost savings for municipal and urban customers. For now, most municipalities have their infrastructural work carried out by their entirely own production organisations, or they only call for tenders for equipment-specific subcontracting services. However, open calls for tenders are gradually becoming more common in the municipal market in general.

In 2009, Destia's important municipal customers of maintenance and upkeep included Helsinki, Hämeenlinna, Jyväskylä, Pudasjärvi, Taivalkoski and Nurmijärvi. Important new accounts were the first 4-year regional contract for the city of Oulu and several smaller contracts with the city of Vaasa, which have made Vaasa a larger customer for Destia than before. In addition to these accounts, Destia's infrastructural construction has been carried out in other demanding projects, such as the following: reinforcing the Kulosaari bridge for the city of Helsinki, constructing the Saaristokatu street for the city of Kuopio, shutting down the Savio landfill for the city of Kerava. Destia's infrastructural planning has gradually increased its turnover in the municipal and urban sector through successful street and traffic planning projects.

For the extractive industry

Extractive operations require knowledge of soil and bedrock, management of proceedings related to permits and environmental impact as well as planning and construction of production areas and their related communications. Destia has know-how that is needed in different stages of extractive operations, from acquiring land information to planning and carrying out construction work and to organising the completion of operations. Destia has developed a comprehensive service concept for mines which are starting their operations, the Total Quarry Service (TQS). The service has Destia taking total responsibility for the necessary equipment as well as the planning and quarrying of the mine.

Destia's Energy Infrastructure service unit is a national constructor of energy infrastructure in Finland. Through its diverse expertise, Destia can take responsibility for parts of investment or line construction projects, or for entire extensive turnkey projects. The concrete and asphalt industry as well as the construction and maintenance of roads, streets and railways require gravel, crushed aggregate, macadam and sand. Destia delivers the soil or rock material refined according to the customer's needs on site at the agreed time. Another example worth mentioning is Destia's Infrastructure Information unit, which provides measurement and research services required for infrastructural planning and construction. It is one of the largest measurement and research operators in the Finnish construction industry.
